LWO:
"Long Way of Opening" dimension; used to
indicate clear opening in the long direction.

SWO: "Short Way of Opening" dimension; used to
indicate clear opening in the short direction.
Strand Thickness: Equal to the thickness of the sheet metal used. The gauge number or decimal thickness is the second number in the style designation.
Strand Width: Amount of metal fed under the dies to produce one strand. Type R is our raised or non-flattened material. Wallner Tooling can also flatten most patterns (Type F) for a smooth surface finish and a few patterns can be skipped (Type S) for functional purposes.
